The Laney DIGBETH DB500H celebrates our heritage in bass. Compact, powerful, and designed with ultra-modern functionality paired with vintage appeal, the DB500H is a stunning 500-watt bass head that delivers clarity, punch, and a wide dynamic range. It’s no wonder this is the bass amp of choice for the legendary Nathan East, who relies on the DB500H’s range of FET and Tube tones night after night at some of the world’s biggest gigs.

Nathan East knows great tone and demands it wherever he performs—whether that’s with Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall, performing at Ronnie Scotts, or touring with his jazz quartet, Fourplay. The DB500H delivers the tones he depends on, and it has already become the new standard for bass players worldwide. Artists such as Arran McKenzie (While She Sleeps), Dougie Poynter (McFly), Max Gough (Tom Odell), Dan Pugsley (Skindred), Bob Hardy (Franz Ferdinand), Kalan Adam (Attila), Charlie Fowler (Mahalia), and Rudi Creswick (Tom Misch) are all using the DB500H.

Whether you play blistering metal, jazz fusion, or anything in between, the Laney DIGBETH DB500H has you covered with punchy tones, ample headroom, and intuitive controls. Plus, if you’ve bought a DB500H, you can claim a totally free, full working version of the DIGBETH-PLUGIN by visiting www.laneyamps.com/warranty, registering your amp, and following the instructions in the confirmation email.

Tilt EQ

Tilt is a dynamic, powerful SEE-SAW EQ control. This control has a central neutral position. Turning the control clockwise increases the overall mid to high frequencies and decreases the lows, giving your sound more presence—perfect for cutting through in live band situations. Turning it anticlockwise reduces mids and highs while boosting lows, making your overall sound rounder.

FX Loop

FX loops are vital as they allow you to add effects to the signal path between the pre-amp and output section. This lets you place time-based FX after the preamp distortion stage. For example, delayed distortion will sound very different from distorted delay—experiment to find your ideal sound.

Connectivity & Features

  • Headphones socket with level control for silent practice
  • Balanced DI output with source switching
  • XLR DI out with ground lift switch to eliminate hum caused by earth loops

DI Output

The balanced XLR DI out allows you to connect the DB500H directly to a PA system or recording interface, without needing to mic the cabinet. The ground lift switch helps reduce or eliminate unwanted hum, ensuring a clean, noise-free connection for live and studio use.
